This program has been developed with the help of dozens of ACCA volunteers, chapters, consultants, as well as Ferris State University, a recognized certification provider with over 52 years of HVAC/R education and testing experience. Nationwide testing has begun on  Service Technician Modules  for Residential/Light Air Conditioning,  Heat Pumps, Gas Furnaces, and Commercial refrigeration.


Why should Technicians be Certified?  Certification helps technicians, their employers, HVAC/R equipment manufacturers, and consumers in the following ways:

• Technicians who gain ACE Certification receive recognition, respect, and rewards. Certified technicians set a higher standard and have a better quality of life.
• Employers and customers know that technicians who have worked to earn professional certification care about their professions and their reputations - enough to put their skills to the toughest test.
• By unifying standards, certification programs lower training costs through focused training courses.
• Certification programs carry real weight in the marketplace, too. Potential customers tend to rely more on companies who use certified technicians. (So...there's usually more and better work for certified technicians and the companies that employ them!)
• Manufacturers know that when their equipment has been serviced or installed by an ACE Certified Technician, the job has been done properly.
• Certified technicians will receive a handsome certificate, wallet card, and a uniform patch to announce their ACE Certified status to their fellow technicians, their employers, and their customers.
