Air Conditioning installations are part of our daily business. We have been installing all types of air conditioning systems for over two decades. Every installation begins with a comprehensive assessment to determine the best type of system for your needs. The next step is to select the correct equipment for you in which factors including size, efficiency, brand, and type are carefully considered. We then design the entire system and schedule the installation.
Residential Air Conditioning
Residential Installation
Air conditioning installation can mean any number of things. It can mean the installation of a window or wall unit to cool one room, or it can mean a gigantic roof-mounted system that has to cool an entire office building, hotel, or hospital.
The simplest air conditioning installation is installation of a window unit. Basically, it is a matter of opening a window, sliding the air conditioner into the opening, and often sliding pleated sliders out from the sides of the unit to fill up the rest of the open space in the window opening.
Central air conditioning installation can be a one to two day job, or it can be a longer project. If you are replacing a central air conditioning unit and the duct work is the proper size, then it can probably be replaced in a day. Add time to that if the duct work has to be replaced or if there has never been a central air conditioning installation before.
For industrial, business, and retail purposes, the nature of the air conditioning installation will depend upon the requirements of the building being cooled. Some data center buildings that house rooms full of computer servers will have a much more strict tolerance for temperature variations than will a small pub. With brand new buildings, the type and installation of air conditioning systems will be coordinated with other phases of the building project so that duct work, air handlers, and air conditioning equipment can be chosen for maximum utility and efficiency.

Residential Maintenance
There are some things that you as a homeowner or business owner can do to keep your air conditioning system running at its best. Often, air conditioning maintenance is a matter of taking care of a few small chores every couple of weeks or so. Proper air conditioning maintenance can prolong the life of your system.
Perhaps the best thing you can do in terms of air conditioning maintenance is to regularly change the air intake filters. Even in a clean house or building the filters become really dirty. The more clogged with dust the filters are, the harder time the system has taking in air. As a result, the system works harder and cools less efficiently. If you can't get to the store to get a replacement air filter, then you can use the upholstery attachment to your vacuum cleaner and vacuum your old one off thoroughly.
The other main thing you can do in terms of air conditioning maintenance is to clear the outside fan of any leaves, dirt, or debris. Check your drain line to the outside and make sure that it is not obstructed and that condensate can exit the line freely. If you do these tasks once or twice a month, you can help ensure a long life for your air conditioning system.

Residential Repair
It is extremely frustrating to wake up on the hottest day of the year, or go to your office one steamy summer morning only to find that the air conditioning system isn't working. Sometimes the explanation is simple and it's something that can be fixed easily. Other times, it takes a crew of repair people working for hours to get things straightened out.
At home, if your system stops working, check the obvious things first. Did a circuit breaker flip? Is the system set correctly in terms of "fan" "heat" or "a/c"? If you're not comfortable doing anything with the actual outdoor unit then you should definitely call in a professional so as not to risk your own safety.
If you check outside and the condensing fan motor doesn't run, you could have a bad capacitor or a bad motor. Check the fan blade. Is it stiff or hard to turn? If so, then you probably need a new motor.
If the unit won't start or won't stop, it is possible that bugs or dirt have come between the contactors for either the "on" or "off" position. You can use a can of compressed air to blow across the contactors to see if that solves the problem. For anything less obvious, it is only prudent to call in a professional.

Ductless Air Conditioning
Ductless air conditioning systems are a very popular choice for areas where the installation of ducts from a conventional central system is either impractical or impossible. These systems consist of an "indoor" unit which can be mounted on the wall or ceiling. The "outdoor" unit can be located in a yard or roof of a home. There are many sizes and options to suit any decor and installation is usually completed in one day. These are also great options for office or garage conversions, hobby rooms and guest homes.
Ductless air conditioning has been used in Japan for many years. It is just now catching on in western countries. This type of air conditioning combines the best of central air conditioning systems and room air conditioning systems. It is a good choice for older buildings that will not accommodate duct work. The only breach in an outside wall is a hole of 7 or 8 centimeters in diameter for a conduit that holds electrical cable, suction tubing, refrigerant tubing and drain line.
The outdoor unit of a ductless air conditioning system contains the compressor and condenser, which are rather noisy, and the indoor unit holds the fan and evaporator unit. One immediate advantage of this setup is that there is not warming of cool air as you would have with cool air flowing through ducts. It is also easier to tailor the amount of cooling to the preferences of those in different rooms. These systems are easy to install, too.
The biggest disadvantage of a ductless air conditioning system is price. The can cost 30% over the cost of a central air conditioning unit and almost twice as much as a series of window units. Another disadvantage is that improper location of the air handling unit can compromise the system's efficiency. In North America, another disadvantage is that finding a properly trained service technician can be difficult since the systems are a new phenomenon.

Split System Air Conditioning
Homes across America are air conditioned using the "split System" type of air conditioner. This type of system utilizes an outdoor unit and an indoor air handler. This alleviates the need to have a "large box" called a package unit on the roof of your home. Split systems are more flexible to install and provide greater aesthetic appeal. We can service, install and maintain any split system A/C or heat pump. We are authorized installers of most major brands and can provide you with a complimentary proposal in your home.
Split system air conditioning is a type of air conditioning that is useful when outfitting older houses that lack the space for duct work. Like a central system, split system air conditioning units have a compressor/condenser and an air handling unit containing a fan and an evaporator. The compressor and condenser are stored outdoors while the fan and evaporator unit are indoors in the area to be cooled. A conduit containing power cable, refrigerant tubes, and the condensate drain link the indoor unit with the one outdoors.
The main advantages of split system air conditioning units are their easy installation, quietness, and versatility. They eliminate loss of cool air passing through duct work as well. Hooking up a split system air conditioning unit only requires a small 7 to 8 cm hole in the wall for the conduit, and there is no duct work. These systems save energy since only occupied rooms need to be cooled, and each has its own thermostat.
The main disadvantage of split system air conditioning units is that they cost about 30% more than central systems and twice as much as window units of similar size. If the system is positioned improperly air can bounce off a wall or obstruction resulting in short cycling, which not only wastes energy, but does not provide enough cooling.

Commercial Air Conditioning
Commercial Installation
Commercial Air Conditioning systems are usually large systems applied to Commercial applications which require regular maintenance and service since the demand on these systems is year round. Our friendly staff can service, maintain, and install most commercial air conditioning systems found in office buildings, shopping centers and malls across America. We can upgrade your existing system to reduce energy cost or service your existing system. We are available 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
Commercial air conditioning installation is a task best left to seasoned professionals who know the different types of systems inside and out. Installation is not the end of your relationship with the air conditioner contractor, but rather the beginning, because commercial air conditioning installation precedes regular maintenance that you will need to keep the system working smoothly year round.
For a one or two story business, a commercial air conditioning installation will take one or two business days. If you're replacing an old system, it won't take as much time, because the duct work will already be installed. If you're having a commercial air conditioning installation in a building that is already energy efficient, you may want to look into such things as ventilation systems, anti-pollution devices, and dehumidifiers to help keep the indoor air free of odors, contaminants, and allergens.
Commercial air conditioning installation is not a job for amateurs or installers that don't have a long track record. As much as half of a commercial building's energy is used by its heating and air conditioning system. Proper installation, maintenance, and building energy efficiency measures are necessary to keep your commercial building cool while keeping energy costs under control.

Commercial air conditioning maintenance is essential for the comfort of your workers, clients, patients, or customers. Commercial air conditioning maintenance specialists can be called upon for a yearly, or twice-yearly inspection, and you are wise to schedule this. Often a specialist can detect problems before they get out of hand, saving you the cost of a larger repair or an emergency call later on.
There are some things that you (or the person in charge of your building's physical plant) can do to help keep your system functioning at its best. Cleaning dirt, leaves, and debris from the unit will help greatly in getting air to flow through the system unobstructed. Check the drain openings for blockage and remove debris (usually sticks, leaves, or tree nuts) that have collected there.
During a regular inspection of your system, your service technician will check the refrigerant level and adjust it if needed, check out the coil and cabinet to see if they need cleaning, and examine the fan motor and blades for wear and damage. Some older models may need lubrication. The technician will also inspect the controls, wiring, connections, and compressor for damage and try to head off any potential problems.

Commercial Repair
If your commercial air conditioning system isn't working correctly, chances are you need it fixed yesterday. Customers will go elsewhere, workers will be less productive, and it's just unpleasant to be in a building that is not being cooled properly. Commercial air conditioning services will diagnose your system based on your accounts of what happened, and based upon an inspection of the system itself.
Commercial air conditioning services have dozens of things that they could inspect, but they'll be able to narrow it down based on a checklist of "symptoms" the system is experiencing. Some of the things that commercial air conditioning services routinely check for include the following:
-Refrigerant leak
-Condition of air handler unit
-Problems with the compressor or condenser units
-Duct system defects
-Controls and Switches
You may not realize it, but commercial air conditioning services say that controls and switches account for most refrigeration problems in air conditioners. Quite often the problem with a system is with an electrical connection or an electrical control. This will probably be one of the first things a commercial air conditioning services technicians will want to rule out. So if your system won't operate, check every control, switch, circuit breaker, and ensure they are all properly set before asking for a service call.

Industrial Air Conditioning
Industrial Installation
Industrial air conditioning systems are often served by large liquid chillers which deliver cold water to fan coils where heat is removed from the air passing over the coil. This type of system allows a large chiller to deliver cold water via pumps to hundreds or even thousands of individual fan coils throughout a building, hotel, mall or hospital. Liquid chillers require regular maintenance and water treatment for optimal performance. They also require the constant monitoring of pressure, temperatures and other operating parameters which can be accomplished on location or remotely via secured Internet connection. We can service, replace or install most chillers and cooling towers throughout the nation.
The degree of difficulty in industrial air conditioning installation depends on several factors. For one, is the industrial air conditioning installation for a building that already has a system that will be replaced? Or has the building never had a system? Is it a brand new building where the installation could take place alongside other construction tasks?
Perhaps the most difficult installation situation is when an industrial air conditioning installation takes place in an older building that has never had a central air conditioning system. It may be challenging to route the duct work properly, and electrical upgrades could be necessary. It may be advisable to have new insulation put in, to maximize the efficiency of the new system.
If a building already has an old system that needs to be replaced, the industrial air conditioning installation will be easier, particularly if the duct work is the correct size for the new system. It is still possible, however that electrical upgrades could be necessary. In a brand new building, the industrial air conditioning installation should be coordinated with other phases of the construction project, and ideally should be coordinated with the architectural and mechanical designers.
While industrial air conditioning installation may be challenging on older buildings that have never had a central air conditioning system before, it is still a good investment in a more comfortable environment.

Industrial air conditioning systems run the gamut from systems that are little different from residential installations to the most sophisticated systems with narrow temperature requirements in "server farms" filled with computer servers, or hospitals where temperatures are critical. Industrial air conditioning systems will differ based on needs and wants.
The owner of a small boutique in a converted house may do fine with a high quality residential system. A new hospital, however, will have multiple requirements, and those requirements will differ from wing to wing and from floor to floor. A server farm full of computer servers must be kept within a narrow range of temperatures to keep machinery functioning possible: the livelihoods of thousands of people could be at stake if the industrial air conditioning system fails without adequate backup.
For such critical industrial air conditioning systems, the planning needs to go hand-in-hand with the design of the building, the design of particularly critical rooms, and the design of other systems, such as plumbing and electrical. In other cases, however, "off the shelf" industrial air conditioning systems are perfectly adequate and relatively quick to install. In older buildings it may be advisable to add general weatherproofing in the form of new windows, caulking of drafts, and the addition of insulation.

Industrial Repair
Industrial air conditioning is used more extensively than ever today. Partly this is because of global warming and the increased need for air conditioning and partly it is because industrial air conditioning is more affordable than it used to be. Industrial air conditioning is critical in industries where a lot of mechanical work is done. Heat makes the work much harder on the workers, and air conditioning is a sound investment in increased worker productivity. Adequate air conditioning also ensures that machinery and electronics don't overheat, extending the lifespan of machinery.
Industrial air conditioning systems usually come with booster machines at different points in the duct networks. These boosters ensure that air flow is constant and that it reaches all parts of the building. While the cost of operating an industrial air conditioning system can be high, it is often still a sound investment. Comfortable workers are more efficient, machinery is less likely to overheat, and in retail businesses, comfortable customers are much more likely to stay and browse.
Fortunately, today's industrial air conditioning systems are far more reliable and efficient than the behemoths of twenty or even ten years ago. Improved energy efficiency has made industrial air conditioning more affordable to more businesses and industries than ever before.
